Tired of not finding very little music that I actually liked, I decided to get back to writing heavy music that was more than just noise. I have always been a big fan of guitar driven rock and metal, so I set out to make music that was technical, yet interesting to the non-musician listener. This is my attempt so far.
Why this name?
I stumbled across the name while reading about demonic posessions. It just seemed like a good band name.
Do you play live?
Currently, the band is only one person, so there is no live playing. I have played live with my three previous bands, including an opening spot for Fates Warning. There aren't many things better than the rush of being on stage in front of a good crowd.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and mp3 technology enables independant artists to get their music heard without having to go through the corporate selection process, allowing fans to choose what they like instead of being told what to like.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it was the right deal, and I maintained an appropriate level of control.
Band History:
Formed in July of 2005 after leaving my last band for heavier pastures, Volac has had a slow start without other members to bounce ideas off of. Hopefuly there will actually be a band soon and a real history can begin.
