I have plans and a genuine desire to play live, as yet unrealised, due to the nature of the 'band'...

The internet allows people like myself, who have few connections to the wider musical community, to become genuine artists, by providing a platform for music...no longer are musicians like myself recording into a vacuum...the internet means that there will always be an audience.

If said label wouldn't want to change Caina into something it isn't...although a couple of indie labels have tried to suggest such a thing, so I really don't know...

Caïna was conceived in the winter of 2004, and born in May of this year when the debut demo/e.p "when we are grown we will be strong" was recorded. Caïna was designed to become a continually evolving musical entity, combining the frigid and cold musical framework of the rawest black metal with a post-rock/ambient sound and aesthetic.
The only member of the group is 'A'.

My influences are extremely diverse - from post- rock pioneers Swans and Godspeed You Black Emperor! to extreme music artists such as Burzum, Nargaroth and Judas Iscariot, to singer songwriters such as Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Vashti Bunyan and Tori Amos, to literary themes (writers who have inspired me include Mishima, Gaiman, LaVey, E.E Cummings, William Blake and many more). I am inspired by almost everything around me..Caina is completely an expression of myself.
