Continually learning songwriter. Too old for POP, too young for Big Band, better stick with Country. Hey, write what you know is what they say. Anyway, listen to the songs and if you like them let me know. If you don't like them let the recording engineer know.
Why this name?
Hmmmm... well, I gave it lot's of thought and decided I could probably get away with using my real name for this band.
Do you play live?
Yes, I play live. A guy has to eat. I play mostly coffeehouses because they offer such large dance floors and lot's of in house sound and lighting.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is having no effect on the music industry whatsoever.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Duh...
Band History:
Born and raised in Indianapolis. Luckily nurtured by great parents who had the insight to only buy records by Roger Miller, Johnny Horton, Buck Owens, Jim Reeves, George Jones, etc. I suppose it didn't hurt to be the cousin of Johnny Wyckoff, the late great square dance caller. Ah, the summer nights around the bonfire, listening to him play that guitar and sing those wonderful tunes. Oh well, I digress.
Your influences?
All mentioned above and then some.
Favorite spot?
Nashville. Why I'm in New Jersey is yet to become known to me.
Anything else...?
Nope covered everything. Just say "Hi" to Hookstown Brown while I have the chance. He's pretty friendly for a Good Ol' Boy and if you get the chance maybe y'all can get over to his page and listen to his great songwriting too!
