Geda... 23 yr old producer from Queens, NY now residing in New Jersey. Beat Broker Squad... I should throw it back and say that we are in full effect, but you catch my drift. Bangin the beats since 2003, so I'm still relatively young in the game, just starting to really get real wit it. I used to BS with music, but I can't deny my love for the game. I am looking to work with up and coming artists looking to develop a sound for themselves. I have a couple signed artists I am connecting with right now, but nothing HUGE just yet (I mean as far as hits that's out, not the artists cuz they are signed to these major labels for a reason:: They FIRE!). Anyway, stay tuned for updates.
Why this name?
Geda = childhood nickname
The Beat Broker = Well because I have beats for sale/lease...

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet gets music out faster, but also hinders sales due to music sharing programs. If you are a maintstream artist, trying to make sales, the internet hurts, but it's helpful if you are up and coming. It's kinda crazy when you think about it, what helps you when your young in the game has the potential to hurt you the most when you're established.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Production deal, Yes. (Rockwilder... I'm here baby, what's good wit that Mil?!?)
Your influences?
Dr. Dre, cuz his beats knock something crazy.
Just Blaze, because on top of being sick with the samples, his drums knock, and he layers some nice keys and lays thick basslines in his track.
DJ Premier, because you can't discuss hip hop without making mntion of Premo...
Pete Rock, production that gave hiphop that nice soulful feel. Music with purpose and I feel, it's what I'm about.
Kanye West, even tho he is mostly hype, some of his beats are good in concept, but he doesn't chop his samples like my next influence,
9th Wonder, he just feels like vintage hip hop.
