3Quarks is a musical project influenced by science-fiction novels. It is a search to create music inspired by futuristic worlds. It is a fusion of old 60's and 70's psychedelic rock and actual electronic psychedelic music.
3Quarks is a musical odd to all futuristic worlds. It is made for people who likes to fly away from the concrete euclidian world we live in.
Novels like Isaac Asimov's Fundation, Dan Simmons's Hyperion, Peter F. Hamilton's Nights Dawn and Iain M. Banks The Culture are one of those that influence the production of this music.
3Quarks is a total creation process searching in the deepest innerspace of the creator.
The first album "Céphéides" is mainly based on science-fiction novels and is a mix of old psy-rock and electronic ambiant. The second album "La Turbidite de la Nebuleuse" is more experimental in sounds, less old-psy-rock with more electronic experiences.
Another project is emerging, it is called "Saut TTZ". This project is techno electronic music more precisely Progressive-Tech.

Why this name?
3Quarks are a group of elementary particules in physics. It represents the infinite small which have a lot in common with the infinite universe.
Do you play live?
No live gigs. This is totally made through a creation process, played and mixed spontaneouslyand re-worked.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Democratic musical turnover. Available for everyone who wants to create music without having a lot of cash or contacts in the industry. The music of the futur will be better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. Not interested to join money and music, it could destroy the creation process.
Band History:
Psychedelic rock jams with friends for 15 years. Techno-rave influences. Science-fiction literature influences. Decided to made a fusion music based on psychedelic et futuristic worlds. Progressing from old-psy-rock to electronic psychedelic.

From Gong, Soft Machine, early Pink Floyd and King Crimson, CAN, Amon Duul II to Goa Gil, Midimiliz, The Delta, CPC, Charm, Opsis and Ghreg On Earth.
