play lo-fi play hi-fi  Road to Recovery
I live in the beautiful province of British Columbia. I was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario.

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I used to drive my mother crazy because as a very tiny child, I used to sing the same words over and over again. She would tell me that I reminded her of a broken record.

I tried almost every instrument in school, but the only ones that really interested me were the drums, the sax, and the guitar. The problem was that in those days, those instruments were considered only for boys. My teacher told me that if I wanted to play guitar, I would have to do it out in the hallway by myself.....which I did! haha

Then I tried taking a few guitar lessons when I was 12 or 13, but found that boys were just much more important at the time.

I didn't pick up a guitar again until I was 21. I borrowed an old guitar that only had 5 strings on it and taught myself how to play.

I have been singing and playing guitar ever since, although I don't consider myself a very talented guitar player. :(
Why this name?
I do have some very close and dear friends that get together with me once in a while as a band. We named our band B4given. We all put our thinkin' caps on and that was the name that stuck.
Do you play live?
I now lead worship for our small home church and sometimes for our larger church in town. I go to Christian festivals whenever possible, however there are not many happening in my neck of the woods. :( I am hoping to get much more involved in the music field if God so desires this for me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet has done awesome things in that it has opened doors for amateurs such as myself to have a place to share our work and talents.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would if the opportunity ever arose! No major labels where I live though. hee hee
Your influences?
My musical influences over the years have been Tanya Tucker, BB King, Kathy Troccoli, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith and many others.
Favorite spot?
My favorite place to be is at home with my family. However, I do find myself daydreaming often of my home town of Cambridge, Ont, although it has grown much too large for my liking now. My brother Dennis and his wife live in a nice little town away from the hussle and bustle....I would join them there if I was ever to return to Ontario.
Equipment used:
My equipment consists of a Peavey drum set (my son, J.D. is my drummer!!!), a Peavey Escort 2000 PA System, Roland EXR-5 keyboard, Peavey KB/A 100 amp, Yamaha electric guitar, AKG mic, and my personal favorite...Sigma parlor guitar which is made by Martin guitars.
