2-17-06 Yes, I have two new songs up now. "Roller Baby" which I wrote about half a year ago, and "Fa La La" which I wrote this past week. I'm proud of both of them, and I hope you enjoy them!
12-13-05 I just put up a new song, called "Spark". It was written a few nights ago. I hope you enjoy it. Let's boogie!

12-12-05 ... wow, somebody put "Frosty the Snowman" in their station! Kudos to you and thanks!
You know...know that I've kind of realized there are people out there listening, I'm stoked. I'm working on new songs, but I'm trying to write stuff that is actually interesting, so it's taking a while. Anywho, I'm feeling inspired now, so I'll keep writing and recording. Hopefully I'll have some new music up, soon.

I'm Andrew Stein, and I love music. So much so, that I learned to play some instruments, like the Mandolin, and the Guitar, as well as a few others. Hopefully, someday, I'll be able to eat some food that was paid for by my music. That's all off in the future, for now.
I've been homeschooled my whole life. I've lived everywhere east of the Mississippi (wow, that really is hard to spell!) river in my short life, and I love learning from the road. Part of that freedom I've been given has helped me develop a love for music. Of course, my family has helped, too.
Most of the time, when I'm not writing or playing mandolin, I use the computer, play video games, and mess around with art of various forms. I hope to find some way to incorporate music into my career, whatever it may be.

Do you play live?
I'll hopefully have my first steady gig this summer at a little beachside eating place, called the Shark Shack. Just me and a guitar and the summer breezes on the beach. Sounds fun! I can't wait for it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
As a tool, I think it's great for starting musicians. People can get quick feedback or advice, and they can easily share their music with other musicians across the world, and that's pretty cool.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the right deal came along, sure.
Your influences?
Nickel Creek, Jason Mraz, Brian Setzer, Beck, Glen Phillips, The Beatles, Wilco, and countless others, I assure you.
Equipment used:
Ehehe, if you saw the electronic equipment I use, you'd laugh. ^^ It's all fairly inexpensive stuff, but hey, it works! Right now I play on a Hohner guitar and an Elvenwood Mandolin. It rocks.
