Born in 1983 in Rosario, Argentina, Jonathan Okanto is without any doubts one of the most important up and coming new talents in the local progressive scene.
Already in his early adolescent years, while hanging around local underground pubs and clubs, he started learning about music and dj techniques, knowledge that he shows nowadays in each gig since his first appearance in the professional circuit; becoming Cheeka’s (Mei Summer Season) resident, the most important club in his city which had guests as important as John Digweed, Jimmy Van M or Bill Patrick among others.

Attracted at first by the trend leaded by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo or Anthony Pappa, he develops through his very personal sets, hypnotic passages and driving progressions, capturing people in a musical climate worthy of the most demanding listeners.

Through his career, Jonathan has performed both in massive festivals with over 5000 people and in the most demanding and exclusive clubs; sharing decks with big names like Chris Fortier, Martin Garcia, Dj Paul, Zuker or Romina Cohn, among others.
Currently he’s still in great demand for the biggest events in the city, some of them with more than 8000 people attending and always with the hottest names in the local and international scene.

In early 2005, Jonathan began his path in music production, and has received support from very important referents such as Deep Mariano, Dominic Plaza, Mike Brin, o Atmosphere, who give rotation to his tracks in his own sets.

Without a doubt, Jonathan has achieved many of his objetives while he keeps learning and growing as an artist both in his dj and producer activities, earning rapidly his public’s and collegue’s respect and becoming a name more and more demanded on stage.
