B-LeaVe's Myspace

Now for a brief summary of me:

I am B-LeaVe, bi***. I grew up in the Chicago area, and lived there for the first 20 years of my life, then I moved out to Detroit to be with my girl then we moved back to Chicago where I currently reside. I've been writing for 10 years and recording for 5. I started my battling career on goldmic.com, which i recently retired from because it turned into a festering shithole of whack ass mof***as, and dick riders.

I started rappin with a chi-town based crew called FBMC, consisting of Die-Verse-It-T, C-Nile, and Chris P. I left FBMC in 2003 because myself and C-Nile developed beef. He also left to play bass for a punk band, but has since returned to rap. Im still tight with Die & Chris P. And C-Nile and I squashed it.

In 2003 I joined a crew called So So Ruthless, and got the letters "SSR" tatted on my left leg as a symbol of loyalty. Im still tight with SSR and their leader Pantz, so they my boys. Pantz has sinced dropped 2 albums on the label, "Completed" and "The Second Leg".

Now myself & Jac Tha Rippa have formed a rap-duo named "Malice" after our general feelings on the state of hip-hop, but we plan to genre-jump a bit with our tracks, clubbish, horrorcore, everything to show off our meshing of styles.

B-LeaVe Mo'F***a ... I Got Now & Next bi***.
Why this name?
Well back in like...2001 me and C-Nile were sitting in his living room, and at that point I didnt have a nickname or anything like that, and we were probably sitting there for a good solid hour before we came up with B-LeaVe, and it stuck.
Do you play live?
Paradigm, Swing State, JFF, Double Door, anything in or around Chi-Town. Special moments? Jac spittin verse 3 from Im Psycho live without f***in up, sh*** was insane.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gets you heard, but at the same time it can cost a mainstream artist alot of money, so it really goes both ways.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably, the money sure as hell can't hurt anybody.
Band History:
Started Rapping in 1997, battles mainly, started doing actual tracks with FBMC in 2000, dropped outta rap for a while due to personal sh*** goin on in my life, cameback in 2003 for a year, dropped out for 2004 and came back in 2005, now im leaving the battle scene for a more realistic part of rap. But I'll still smash a mof***a in a beef if you speak my name, dont get it twisted.
Your influences?
My life has been my foremost influence, but heads on goldmic (i.e Chincheck, Pantz, Triple Six) have been the biggest influence on how I write and how everything is structured, but if I go back to the start, the first rap song I ever had get stuck in my head was Natural Born Killaz by Dre & Cube, and for my overall style the biggest influence has been like Twiztid, ICP, Tech N9ne, Eminem or even Hard Target because their styles are something that was new to me when I heard it, and it kinda rubbed off, kinda takin what I learned from listenin to them spit and doin my own thing, just lookin around soundclick really can help an artist develop their personal style because you see this wide array of styles people got, and you can learn and adapt from that.
Favorite spot?
Chicago, I love my home town. Other than that DuPage or Cook County, sh*** Lake County, f***in everywhere, and where my fams at.
