I'm a very amateur guitarist with a full time day job and a regular Friday night gig with my band "The Turkey Vultures" at the bass player's house. I've been playing for about 25 years and would someday like to sound like I've been playing that long.
Why this name?
Prince was already taken so I just used my real name. The Turkey Vultures? - not my idea.
Do you play live?
Sometimes I play without much life but we do get out to local establishments and festivals on a regular basis. I live in the Ottawa Valley (Ontario) so it's a special moment when people actually clap for a non-country song.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I like the accessibility everyone has with the Net but I do miss the "Album experience" - getting a new album was just like Christmas.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure - as long as they paid the babysitting bills when I was out tourin'.
