Sol Camp Sol Camp is a group of latino musicans from Phoenix all trying to accomplish the goal of putting Phoenix on the hip hop radar. The group currently consists of Mav, Chino D, Brian $tak$, Skunk 1, and Angel De Luna. All of these artist were doing things independently before joining forces becoming what is now known as Sol Camp. Sol Camp started in October of 2005 by Brian Stacks a emcee from El Paso, Tx who moved out here to Phoenix. He later came to all the mcees with the idea and it just blew up from there. In less than a week they made some songs and put out the first mixtape and are already getting radio play with songs and drops on Power 92.3 FM. They already passed out thousands of cds in Florida, Oregon, Arizona, California, Texas, and New Mexico and will pass out even more of mixtape vol 2 due out the begining of 2006. The goal is to combine all the talented latino emcees from Phoenix and then after a large following we spread out to other cities and recruit other emcees, wrtiters, breakers, promoters, dancers, poets, producers and any other people who are down to help the cause. All though the purpose is to promote latino artist it isnt just limited to latinos its open to anyone down to help the Phoenix hip hop scene as a whole. Every city has something to offer and every city has something original to offer also. Where can Phoenix fit in?
