Detroit breed hip hop band Lazy Genius is the end result of an amazing musical equation. When you combine of two dope MCs with three talented musicians, the chemistry of this mixture creates a sound like nothing else. LG's sound is head-nodding and hand waving with a touch of edge, to stay above the current pop musical trends.

Lazy Genius as been described as "The Roots" meets "Red Hot Chillie Peppers". With influences ranging from Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Audioslave, Mint Condition, Sweetback and more, LG is a sonic experience.

In 2005, after the band had collaborated on various studio and live projects with National\local artists including Amp Phidler, Paul Hill, and Dwelle, the band recorded and released the “UNRELEASED” album. Currently the band can be found playing shows in and around the Detroit area.
