Sean Russell, a performing songwriter hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, is known for
his unique style of soul and blues
with an earthy singer/songwriter
tone. Make no mistake,
he may commonly pay tribute to his influences such as SRV,Clapton
and Wes Montgomery,
but Sean Russell has a
unique "style for the times"
approach to original music.
Sean began as all players do
working for many acts both
original and cover. After taking
a job with a house band at a
popular tourist attraction
in Pittsburgh he quickly
became disenchanted and
decided to leave the
music scene to concentrate
on writing. In June of 2004
while visiting renowned
Pittsburgh drummer Doug Deets
in Philadelphia, Sean met performing/songwriter Jason Deutsch
and soon
joined his band Original Low.
With Jason's encouragement
Sean became more comfortable
with his vocals resulting
in Sean's first go as a
solo artist. Sean is currently
working on new material
for his debut EP. Stay
