play lo-fi play hi-fi  X Vox
well, I'm a solo musician that has been playing piano since I was three. I love music, and anything to do with it. I am placed on here under Trancy type music, but I do my best to be the best variety I can be, so I play anywhere from classical compositions of mine, to rap or techno stuff I mix up.
Why this name?
It is my actual name, well the link part is.
Do you play live?
I love to play live... unfortunatly I am such a shy bastard, I have problems getting myself into the right circles of people. so I would love to perform frequently, but I lack the experience in that because I don't know anyone.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
well I think it is good and bad... good because it could defenitly help those struggling to make it, like myself... and earn a place in someones heart. I love music, it is my life so my ultimate goal with that is to share that with everyone and hope that it touches at least someone out there, but I think internet music could be bad for those who lack the respect of other musicians.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
of course I would... hell that's what I'm waiting for...
Band History:
well like I said earlier, I have been playing piano since I was three, I picked up the guitar at 7 and bass by 9. I got into classical at 10 and picked up the cello, violin, harpsichord, and harp. I then moved to techno and trance stuff picking up the turntables in only effort to sample vocals, not other music. at 16 I picked up the trumpet and didgeridoo. I moved to world grooves at about 17 and been mixing up stuff of all sorts ever since!
Your influences?
well I don't typically tend to listen to 'mainstream' stuff, I guess it is my way of betting myself by listening to myself and scrutinizing it until I am satisfied.
Favorite spot?
England
Equipment used:
I rarely 'spin'. much respect to those who do, but I make everything from scratch. I use a 88 key Korg Triton Studio, and all the live instuments I can get my hands on... I'm not a fan of remixing or looping. I do my best to keep the listener on their toes, and by the end of the song I want them to feel like they have listened to a rich song full of changes and unexpected bits. I like to tell stoies through my music. I have some songs that I have written lyrics for and sang in, but the majority of my music is instrumental because I think the sound of resonant cello string could talk just as much as a written word.
Anything else...?
well I just moved to Hickory NC from the UK only weeks ago, so I am still getting to know people, I have never been here before so it is a hard start.
