Opus Forte is a three piece acoustic band hailing from Long Island, New York. We like writing music, playing music, listening to music, dreaming about music, eating music, going to the restroom with music, taking long walks on the beach with music, sleeping with music, taking music out to dinner, and most importantly we love music.
Why this name?
opus Forte really speaks for itself. Opus; a piece of music that has been created, and forte meaning strong. So guess you can say it means strong pieces of music that have been created~!
Do you play live?
We've just recently played live at Acoustic Cafe 2005. Which our recordings are from. They're all live and all from that show. We love playing together and will pretty much play anywhere. Contact any one of us for booking info.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps musicians, like us, promote.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Ummm...maybe.
Band History:
We formed in October, 2005. Michael and Ken are cousins and are always working and writting new music. Zach, well he's just an amazing guy and musician. Michael got everyone together and everything fell into place from there like it was meant to be.
Your influences?
For this project, vocal influences such as Maroon 5 and Jason Mraz spill into the music, but honestly I wouldn't say our music falls into one genre, we hope everyone can enjoy.
Favorite spot?
Right here on Long Island.
