Singing for the Lord and ministering in song, Brand New Life wasn't merely "started" as many groups are, but was instead the result of God's vision.
Consisting of Dorothy Davila on Lead & Backing vocals and Marcos Davila performing all instruments, Backing vocals and producing, the sound of Brand New Life could be described as a fusion of the traditionally mature sound of Gospel artist Richard Smallwood and Old School Funk/Soul/Motown.
We are currently hard at work recording our new EP, tentatively titled "Testimonial", and are available in the NYC area for Christian functions. Just drop us a line- we'll answer you! In the meanwhile, you can enjoy our music online.
We hope you are truly blessed by God's inspiration through us- together we can all take this world for Jesus!

Why this name?
The name was taken from one of our favorites songs: "Brand New Life", written by Gospel great Melvin Hawkins and performed by him with the Mississippi Mass Choir.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows independent artists to be able to showcase and get their music heard without having to bow to the oft times unfair terms of major/indie labels.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If we were able to secure a deal that actually works for us instead of working for the label. Fair is fair: sometimes an indie artist can make more money on their own instead of with a label that looks to grab more than 90% of profits. ;)
Your influences?

Favorite spot?
My bed- after a long day's work! ;)
