A four piece alt-rock band from London ON Canada.
Band History:
Pilgrim formed as many other bands have... just a couple guys with a passion who meet up and create music together. The setting is London Ontario Canada and the story is as diverse as the music.
The band started in late summer of 2004. Matt Magni and Cale Sutherland (me) had played a few acoustic sets together but had just started considering the possibility of creating a full band together. Matt has been writing music for god knows how long (I'm sure at some point he'll correct me in a blazing lecture) and is responsible for much of the song writing up to date. I had just started drumming that june and we were short an important piece of the puzzle, a third member. Cue Tom Cooke. Tom met up with Matt and I at school (King's College at UWO) and started jamming with us. He brought with him the passion and skill that drives songs such as Stay and Open My Eyes. The result was a feeling so copesetic that we were immediatly sure of Tom's inclusion in the band. We played together as a trio for close to a year, not getting a whole lot done but writing some impressive music. Then came the missing link to the variable paradigm that is Pilgrim. Matt Trueman joined up in October of 2005 and a sense of completion and beginning immediatly swept through us. Trueman was playing in a band whom he wasn't fully comfortable with and we were able to entice him over to us!

We have begun work on our first demo album (as of yet untitled) and live acts are close behind. With a sound that encompasses Alternative rock with a flair of Progressive warmth, Pilgrim attacks its listener with fluxuating tempos and an affinity for emotional grooves.
