At infancy, there was a big-ass speaker next to my crib, blasting the latest from Led Zeppelin and The Eagles. It didn't help my hearing too much, but it has secured music as something that consumes my life!

These days, i'm occasionally messing around with loops and samples in Acid Pro, and over-dubbing myself on tracks by a much-more talented musician, Kevin Driscoll (http://www.kevindriscoll.net).
Why this name?
Back in the BBSing days, I had to pick an alias on the fly. Squiggy sounded fitting. It has morphed into all kinds of weird things with the word Squig in them, so just call me The Squig, ok?
Do you play live?
Currently, I'm looking to get together with the many musical friends that I have to just jam out and have fun. If we end up going into public with it, then I'm game.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Enables the artist to connect directly with potential listeners through an extremely easy distribution method! There's nothing I love more than going to a band's website, and hearing what they sound like within seconds.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not at this time. I'm not good/serious enough to make it a career, and I hear too many horror stories of artistic integrity being compromised in favor of getting a radio hit.
Band History:
1978 - born, the whole crib thing, blah blah blah
1986 - Joined the Children's Chorus Of Maryland to refine the skill, and just generally have fun
1994 - Graduated from the Children's Chorus, and stopped doing really anything musical
2000 - After seeing other friends creating electronic creations, I started doing my own, and cranked out 3 tracks within a month. Lost the creativity after that
2004 - Kevin Driscoll visited me on my radio show (http://www.squigradio.com), and recorded some exclusive acoustic tracks. I told him about my history, and asked permission to add my voice to some of those tracks.
2005 - The Squig joins www.soundclick.com :-P
