Garden of Wind
David is an independent guitarist/musician who runs Skinny Devil Music Lab (http://www.skinnydevil.com), teaches privately, performs as both solo artist and with the duo Alien Blue, conducts the "Guitar Gods" interview series for Tinfoil Music, and much more.
Why this name?
It's my name, bro.
Do you play live?
Yeah, I play all sorts of gigs. From kickin' rock ensembles to day-care centers to coffee houses to retirement homes to performance clinics. They are all challenging and fun.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3 doesn't, in and of itself. The internet, on the other hand, has decentralized the industry and placed maximum choice in the hands of fans & consumers of music. This is a VERY good thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I seriously doubt a major record label would have any understanding as to how to promote my music, so it's simply not an issue with which I'll be confronted.

Your influences?
The easier question is: Who is NOT an influence. I love music in general, so everything I hear has an influence. Even if I don't like it, I learn quickly what NOT to do (hahaha!!!).
Favorite spot?
Sarasota is gorgeous. Atlanta, Lexington (where I currently live), and DC are also very cool.
Equipment used:
Everything I can get my hands on! Customized Aria & Halo electrics, Martin acoustics, Marshall amps, Kurzweil synths... I endorse (and use) both Halo Electric Guitars and Lava Cables. Both are hand-made in the USA and worth every penny of their retail price!
