This Jay Coupe, one of three members of the ThundaKatz Production Team. I created a page of my and other artists heat rock because of my distance from the group. I want to display my individual work that show you why a ThundaKatz production is top-of-the-line. Innovative.
Why this name?
It was a decision me and DJ made, and I thought up ThundaKatz and brought it to him as an idea. That was around the same time I brought to DJ the idea of creating a team of producers.
Do you play live?
Im learning how to play the keyboard and hopefully in the future I can orchestrate many live productions. Bolingbrook, IL
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps attract different, diverse artists and listeners at the speed of light. Online makes hustlin music a breeze, informative.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I will do what it takes to sign a record contract with a major label. In the future, I hope to start my own label project, developing a team of producing artist and regular rap and r & b acts.
Band History:
Created in 2003-2004, the ThundaKatz started with the help of Josh Cooper (Jay Coupe) and David Twyman(DJ). They soon added Will as the third Kat to the Dynamic Duo. Since then they have been working with different local artist on their various projects.
Your influences?
My music influences are Timbaland, Just Blaze, Dark Child, and Jay-Z. They have had an impact on my production style and I would hope that oneday I can be as effective as them.
