Trance Factor is a unique one man techno band hailing from the Ohio underground music scene. Fronted by it's creator Jim Hamilton each song takes you on an electro poetic exploration through melody inspired rhythms & gothic psychological mindscapes. With intelligent lyrics & simple yet haunting melodies the heart of this music's intention shines through & grabs a hold of you. I wanted to name the band something that best describes the effects the music itself has on the listener. I've been told that when people listen to my music that it was like they were put in a trance or something. I'm the factor..the one who creates and facilitates the trance.

Yes, I play live shows with a backing CD, I do all the vocals & play keyboard, & guitar.

Band History:
Trance Factor was conceived in January 2000 by Jim Hamilton. Armed with a DAW (digital audio workstation) e.g. a computer,keyboard,& microphone
and various samples the creative endeavor began.
The idea is to make music that is purely enjoyable, meaning that you find yourself listening to the CD quite often...a quality song that is built to last. The debut CD The Groove is The God is currently being recorded & will be independently released in August 2002.
