Home-brew mostly-acoustic roots folk rock, blues, swing, pop, pickin', and grinnin'.

Enjoy!

Why this name?

It's my on-line handle. Just my name, choped and jumbled a bit.
Do you play live?

I'm a regular at local blues jams, where I bring keyboards -- and usually get to play all night unless I'm lucky and another keyboard player shows up. I also occasionally play at open mike nights at my favorite haunt, the Blue Bayou Club in Hillsborough, NC.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

We'll see. If nothing else, it provides a way for us independents to show our stuff and meet others, and that's a great thing.

It certainly changed the way recording projects work, with internet collaboration rather than meeting in studios.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Nope. I do this for fun. However, if someone was interested in covering any of my tunes I'd be delighted.
Band History:

I'm mainly a keyboard player, though you can't tell it from these songs. After moving to NC from Michigan in late 2000, I started recording using my laptop computer and simple gear in my living room.

Then I found the on-line community of musicians at artistcollaboration.com and began the most productive recording period of my life, though I've been recording since 1977. For whatever reason, my Martin HD28 guitar was the core of new tunes I was writing and older tunes I revived for recording.

I highly recommend artistcollaboration.com if you're recording yourself but think with a little help your results could be better. Chances are, you'll be very pleasantly surprised!

In addition to my own music, I enjoy doing keyboards tracks for other folks and giving tips on home recording & mixing. I'm good at it because I've made every imaginable mistake.
Your influences?

Duane Allman, Hot Club of Cowtown, Keb' Mo', Eric Bibb, the Eagles, Jonathon Edwards, Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, Jon Shain, and Black Sabbath (but I hope I've gotten over that by now).
