Derek MacLennan lives in Applecross in the West Highlands of Scotland. His music is a unique blend of Funk, Blues and Afrobeat with a distinctly Celtic flavour. Listen in for a view from the croft as told in the dawn of the 21st century.
Why this name?
I discovered it on my birth certificate, though having said that, it is not authentic.
Do you play live?
No, I don't play live at the moment. But maybe one day I will assemble the six-piece band that will be needed to do this stuff. I love to play live music when I can and have played many gigs and pub sessions, mostly in Scotland and USA
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
You can make the sort of music you want to make, and still get heard, at least.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Band History:
A truly time-served musician having rocked and thrashed many a rock gig and folky pub session from Portree, Isle of Skye to Atlanta, GA, and back, Derek has now opted for a more disciplined, but no less potent, approach.
