Distant Strangers in tha muthaf***in' house!! Welcome to tha page. This is our page for mixtapes that we will put up for free download, so remember to bookmark this and check back for updates. You know how we do it. Reppin' tha town of Saint Cloud, we keep it pimpin'. Comin' with a different sound than what's out right now, we're bringin' back tha originality to tha culture, n spittin' them sick rhymes with much love n passion for tha art of this craft. L-DuB's got that chillin' flow, but also he can spit them lyrics furiously n rip suckas in half, then switch it back to pimp mode n snatch yo bi***. Acteez is comin' with that flashy, killa flow, slick with tha punchlines, murderous with tha metaphors n also able to snatch yo breezy with one bar out tha lyric pad or off tha top of tha dome. Smokin' Robs is our guitar technician, constantly shreddin' tha guitar strings n comin' up with them sick ass guitar riffs that will make a muthaf***a be like, god damn!!! We're currently in tha process of gettin' tha group album done, but in tha meantime, we gonna be droppin' mixtapes to keep ya'll hyped for tha album, cuz when it does come out, you won't be dissapointed.

Why this name?
It explains us very well. We're all Distant Strangers brought together by fate and one purpose: To make tha music that gets you hoppin' out of your seat n dancin' to tha beat.
Do you play live?
Yeah, DS plays live. We've played at The Java Joint(Formerly Downtown STC, MN), The Rox(Downtown STC, MN), McRudy's Pub(Downtown STC, MN), Rum Runners(Downtown STC, MN), American Legion(East side STC, MN), The Whats Up Lounge(Mankato, MN), Station 4(St. Paul, MN), Higherground(UW-Eau Claire, WI), The Rock Nightclub(Maplewood, MN), and Trobecs Event Center(St. Joeseph, MN) so far... You know we get tha crowd jumpin', bein' on stage is a big rush, n it's great to hear tha reaction from tha crowd. When your up there givin' it your all, n you know tha crowd is feelin' it, then it's a smooth ride from there. Thanks to everyone that came out for the Do or Die show and the J-Kwon/Big Meech show, the 2 biggest crowds so far...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Great way to promote music, especially if ya on tha underground n aren't just about tha dolla$$
Band History:
Distant Strangers started at work...We all worked together n we all were doin our music thang... Active Oner, Smokin Robs, L-DuB n Bishop were tha initial DS crew. We hit up A-440 Studios(Twin Cities, MN) after we did our first gig at tha Java Joint on april 30th, 2005. We had a great time and tha turnout was sick for a first show! It was tha first of many crazy nights... We did a few more shows over the next year, got too f***ed up a couple times, learned a lotta sh*t though... Then Bishop went a different direction so it was L-DuB Active n Robs doin it big! One of our boyz Big C spent some time at 302 n recorded a buncha tight trackz(Burp, Buckwild, Billionaires...ect). We released tha heatwave mixtape n put a shitload a copies out on tha street. Recently we have opened for Do or Die and J-Kwon out at Trobecs Event Center, and opened for 2 Live Crew when we were into our second year... Its 2008 and tha future is lookin good for DS...

East Coast, West Coast, Dirty South, Mid West, Old School, New School, Techno, Dance, Rock, Classic Rock, Punk, Hip Hop, Krunk, and Crazy Talk -----> Combined...
