Why this name?
I am a diva with a capital D, and I just use my name b/c there isn't any other name that better describes me.
Do you play live?
I sing EVERYWHERE. At school, at home, in church...I do talent shows in my neighborhood, and for my friends.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3 makes music easier to access. Faster to distribute and easier to pirate, however it's all about letting people hear my music and hopefully enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy making it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Naw, I'm not looking to be famous. I plan on working in advertising as I pay my way through law school. Music is my first love, but not an occupation.
Band History:
Your influences?
Motown and LaFace records have always brought out artists that fit my style. Jive signing Alicia Keys sparked my interest also. But I love Jay-Z and Beyonce collabos, and Chi-town's finest Twista, Lupe, and Kanye BIG UPS!
Favorite spot?
My home town of Chi-town is the place to be seriously. There is NO place like it! Everytime I visit don't wanna come back!
