Hi!
I am a Christian singer/guitarist/songwriter,
currently working on a CD, which will soon be
finished. I live with my wife and two boys in
Fargo, ND. I have been playing and writing music
in this area for about 20 years, and have been
involved in various local music groups as well
as playing solo. Most of my music is written for
and played on acoustic guitar. Over the past couple
of years, I have been concentrating on making a
CD of my music. It has been mostly a home project, on modest equipment, and in my spare time (it has taken a looong time!). My hope
is that this music is in some way encouraging and
helpful to those who hear it.
The songs I write all have a Christian/spiritual theme to them. Looking at the material I have come up with over the years, I have noticed that most of them are geared to encouraging people and
pointing them towards God, talking about how good
He is, and what it is like to be in His presence
and in His care. It is my prayer that those things that I have experienced of Him will be conveyed effectively through the music.

Do you play live?
I don't play live as much as I used to, when I was
younger and playing regularly in a band. It is
rewarding playing live and interacting with people,
especially when the audience is able to connect
with what is being played and spoken, and people
leave the venue encouraged and better off than
when they came in.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe the internet gives people like me a tre-
mendous opportunity to get original music heard with
relatively little effort. Of course, there is always
the piracy issue, downloading copywrited material
without the owner's consent. That undoubtedly has
changed the music industry, for good and for bad,
depending on your perspective.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would depend on the terms of the contract. At
this point, I am not interested in playing a lot of
live venues or going on extended touring adventures as long as my kids are at home, so that
would probably eliminate any record company interest in me, if any.
