Unknown moment was born in 2001 by Iiro Rantanen and Jani Hakamäki. A
mutual vision was to find a unique style of self-expression for the group.
The first productions were formed from already existing materials. In the
year 2002 Linda Laukkonen was united with the group as a vocalist.
After a few experimental live performance Mr. Hakamäki differed from the
group.

The early productions was mainly formed from various styles of downtempo
and chill out material. In the year 2003 the production was added with
elements from drum'n'bass and breakbeats. 2004-2005 Unknown moment
established style wise more into drum'n'bass and breaks. During this time
Iiro Rantanen became the only official member and backbone of the project.
