We are a Russian contemporary christian band with evangelical focus.
Why this name?
Well... choosing the band name was among the hardest things. The matter of fact, the first CD was recorded before the name was chosen :) Vlad and I set and prayed about name... next day we both talked on the phone for an hour choosing the name... Among the possible picks were "El Shaddai", and "Rush Hour". But soon we realized the meaning of the words El Shaddai, and saw that it is a very great responsibility to carry a name that means "Almighty God who is all sufficient", so we looked up, and found the name that responded to the state of our excitement about God: El Roi- Almighty God who sees me"
Do you play live?
At this point all of our live performances are held at our home church: "Breakthrough Christian Center" located at 7555 York Rd. Parma, OH 44130. I think one of the biggest factors of success of any musician is live performances, so yes, we love them.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet helps... at the same time as sorta raids many bands of profit that's necessary for survival...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That's a tough one, but I am sure that we would, as long as it is a christian label.
Band History:
Well... it's kinda short. Me (Vitaliy) and Vlad played for 1 year together... The band exists since October of 2005, the first album has been released in November of 2005.
Your influences?
The greatest musical influences came from alternative christian music, from bands like Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, New Jerusalem, and so on...
