Harambe is a five piece soul and funk band based in London and Brighton. The band has released two CD's independently on their own label and these have now been released by Peace Work Records in America.
Their latest album "Roots" was released in April 2003 to critical acclaim.

Do you play live?
We play in clubs all over the UK and Europe as well as the key clubs in and around London including London's Jazz Cafe, the Rock Garden, the Hope and Anchor, LA2 and WKD
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes our music more accessible to the listener
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes of course we would but we have done pretty good so far.
Band History:
The band was formed in 1999 by bassist Karl Clews, guitarist Gerard Blyth and drummer Dean Gannon.Dean has now evolved to being the front man and the band's lead vocalist.
Your influences?
Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Meters, The Neville Brothers and contemporary artists such as Me'Shell Ndege Ocello, Maxwell, Erkah Badu etc.
Favorite spot?
Sunshine and sweet soul music.
