I'm Reine, age 21, and I do soundtracks.
I have always been a storyteller, and I like for my stories to be multimedia experiences. I use visual art and music along with the written word to convey my message. Because of this, I very seldom compose without a character or scene in mind.

Why this name?
Reine is a rearrangement of my real name. I later discovered that it also means "queen" in French!
Do you play live?
I don't play live because my work is digital, though I would love to learn! I do, however, have some experience singing in choirs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I remember the good ol' days when I could search for a song and find it instantly on somebody's AOL homepage: "HAY GUYZ I JUST GOT THIS CD! DWND IT!!1!"
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not.
Band History:
I've always loved music, but I first became interested in composition at age 15 after hearing Draggor's Crystalstars OST. His work is wonderful, and I was encouraged by the fact that he (like me) doesn't play or read music. I've been composing off and on for various purposes ever since.
Your influences?
I love almost everything, particularly classic rock. My favorite bands of all time are Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails.
In terms of what I compose, though, I'm more into instrumentals. Some of my influences are Rob Diaz-Marino, Mark Knopfler, and Thomas Newman.

Favorite spot?
I left my heart in San Francisco!
Equipment used:
I use an outdated version of Massiva for composing and SynthFont for rendering. I'm just starting to get acquainted with Cubase and FruityLoops.
Anything else...?
Nothing helps me to compose like a good prompt. If you have suggestions, please let me know!
