Why this name?
Come's with the territory. Being a creative graphic artist, as well as a music composser. I've been told I'm a little bit out there. I most enjoy my favorite medium lifesize or bigger acrylic on streched canvas.
Do you play live?
Playing my music I can and have done that every where I go. I know I really would go crazy if I was'nt able to play my music. It is my whole reason for living. People can and will let you down. But my music never does. If you do it right it's better sometimes than sex. Anyway's if you do it right it leaves me sweaty and worn out just like sex and just as good feeling.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It took alot of the rif out of the raff so to speak. Ever try to contact let's say one of the Big 5 recording companys? Now that's a laugh or nightmare depending on how they percive you the individual artist. Without the folk's at mp3 "GOD BLESS THEM" ther would be no way to let the world hear music like mine. Before mp3 just trying to get anybody to hear what kind of music I wrote was not even a remote possiblity. They have given me a new sence of justification for my life. Even though I started recording my music later in life than what I percieve is prudent in some peoples eyes. I spent most of my adult years in the military starting when I was 17 years old, and ending at 38. Most of the current popular artist are younger than I am. Age and music have no barriers.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they could present my band with the correct corporate sponcership and if their intention was to promote my band and music. After interviewing their proposal with my attorney I would favorably endorse such a contract, if it met with our expectations. They are going to proffit from such a committment more so than they'll ever allow you the consumers to know.
Band History:
Up untill this last year most of the music of Bent and Twisted' was written by Jimmy Lee Groblebe. We are currently hard at work in the studio, on our next project and hope to be finished with it soon. But it will be ready when it's ready and not untill. Good things take time and great things take a wee bit longer.
Your influences?
There are so many. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendricks, Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorrsey, Mr. Carlos Santanna. I could go on and on.
Favorite spot?
That would have to Amsterdamm.
Anything else...?
Being able to let the world hear what came from my heart and soul is in fact a wonderful feeling that your life mattered and you did what you were sent to do.
