Joe Mystery has been playing for a number of years. He is a cult figure in the annals of New Jersey rock, coming out of Jersey City, and was the founder of three of the finest bands on the underground scene in NJ/NY. These were the Metroverts, Joe Mystery Group and the King Lizards. In the early 80's Joe Mystery Group released the underground video, Nazis in New Jersey, an anti-skinhead anthem. This video was played extensively on Manhattan, South American and Canadian cable TV and featured Emilio Reeves, the Greatest Actor in Rock and Roll, a frequent Joe Mystery collaborator. The list of New York and New Jersey Clubs Joe has played is voluminous and includes the likes of CBGB's, and the infamous and now defunct NewYork City club, Great Gildersleeves. In 1999, Joe released the album, Mondo Lizardo, with the King Lizards. This album is available through contact with Joe at the listed e-mail address. Other key performers on Mondo, are lead singer Jim "Made Man" DeSalvo of MotoMachine fame, and serial strangler, Mike L. on Lizardo bass. Currently, Joe is the owner of OmniMix Recording in Lake Hopatcong, N.J. After a long hiatus, he is back.
