We were stuck for a name for a while there were all sorts of sh*** ideas flying around two that spring to mind are "sore boobs" and "wonky shelf" jesus what were we thinking then we hit on thwe idea of sinister footwear (borrowed from a song by the late great Frank Zappa) as we are all big zappa fans, so that was the one that stuck i just feel glad we never bacame sore boobs

Playing live is the greatest thing about being in a band, we have played gigs all over the uk mainly our hometown Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool and London, we mainly do the small venues but are always looking to play anywhere anytime so if anyone is interestded in booking us for their night please feel free to email via the band website www.sinisterfootwear.net. As far as special moments go we were kindly asked to play a show at the Shepherds Bush Empire earlier in 2005 and it was fantastic great venue, great crowd, and if you excuse my modesty we put on a great show.

its a double edged sword really its great for exposure for unsigned bands and its a great promotional tool but i do think its taken away a bit of mystery about music i long fior the days where you heard about a vinyl record on the grapevine and would walk through wind and rain to hear a great album that your friend had just bought

Six piece original rock band formed in 2000 with only one key change of personell during that time(we changed our vocalist in 2002), we embarked on this particular project(all musicians have played in various bands prior to 2000)with the intention of making music that a) Rocks b)makes you smile and c)makes you want to dance and we continue to maintain that ethos, we have currently recorded 2 4 track demos with the current line up both of which are available for free download at www.sinisterfootwear.net and also have a live dvd recorded at the shepherds bush empire earlier this year which can be obtained by emailing us via our website

We have very eclectic tastes and tend to want to listen to all styles of music, theres good and bad in all varieties of music, artists who i think are imprtant for all people to listen to wouuld be Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart and his magic band, The Band, Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, led zeppelin, jimi hendrix, curtis mayfield, gill scot heron, stevie wonder, the beatles, the stones pink floyd, tom waits, freddy king, james brown the list is quite lierally endless
