The Brand New Album "Heavy Heat" Coming Soon !!
Why this name?
"When I was coming up folk always called Big B because of my size. I threw in the Bigga part cuz you know how folk say do it big, I was like I'm gonna do it bigger u know what I'm talking 'bout. It's like you might be big but I'm bigga , ya feel me. "
Do you play live?
"Yeah I've done shows in Winston at Thea's House of Blues, Ziggy's, Elliott's Revue and in Greensboro at Ace's Basement and Pepper's with the Grind Family (Choke, Pressure, Darkness). It's straight cuz it gives me an chance to meet fans and see how they react to my music. That way I can keep giving the people what they want."
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
"It's just a sign of the times. Things have changed. The net gives you a broader way to hit everybody. World wide. From promotion to sales to feed back. The negative is that it affects the majors because it hurts retail cd sales."
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
"As long as I aint gettin' pimped and got creative control maybe so but I think the indie route is the best way to go now. It cuts out the middlemen so that the artists get most of the revenue. "
Band History:
Versatility, Originality, Personality demonstrated while exercising Lyrical Fitness. This should be the career statement adorning the top of Big B Bigga, Da Super Heavyweight's resume. Hailing from the Tarheel state of North Carolina, Big B's main objective is to refocus society's perspective of hip hop/rap music as a whole. His tenacity to leave his mark on the music world clearly comes through in his lyrical content. By displaying a wide variety of styles and actually bringing substance to the table, he refuses to limit himself to the stereo-typical view of southern artists that place them in the same box. Even though he doesn't portray the image that commercialized hip hop casts, he does have the skill set to go to war with the cream of the crop. By releasing various mixtapes, B Bigga is on pace to make it happen by any means necessary.Big B has performed along side fellow Wreaal South All Stars Choke and Pressure at various venues throughout the triad over the years. Emceeing, beat production, song/ghostwriting are notable footnotes that make him a multi-dimensional talent. Add the fact of him being an accomplished visual artist(check the promo posters and graphic designs)this self proclaimed super heavyweight really is a jack of all trades. By doing it his way, Big B is determined to overcome any obstacles in his path by using his strengths to overshadow his limitations.
