Dear eden.
Formula Rock is the devil.
Formula Rock is the devil.
Why this name?
Dear eden. was chosen as a goodbye letter head to the town we're from. It started off as Dear eden, instead of now being Dear eden. The period was added after the former bassist left. It was a deffinant choice hence the period.
Do you play live?
We play live as often as we can. We've played many shows for many reasons. We're just here to help spread feeling in music again.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well for unsigned bands the internet is amazing. Spreading your music and ideas is a lot simpler but also its harder to come across. As for nationals... its great for promoting shows.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if we were allowed total creative controll. no image changeing, commercial tunes, or ANY garbage like that. It would have to be like this. We would record and produce our own cd's... tour.. and make our own videos. a major label prolly wouldn't want to deal with us. we're not real big on formula music. "Formula music = a formula to recording and writeing. What sells" If you can't expand through your music, then whats the point?
Band History:
a long story short..
Dear eden. formed in 2001 as a full band.
complications between drummer and singer.
no drummer. bassist leaves.. guitarists and singer are left. After a few months of not talking.. Josh Ziglar (guitars) and Brian Wilson (Vocals) came together under a better feeling.
The Album "Intro" (discontinued) was released December 2004. Shortly after its release Dear eden. picked up Jesse Fargis to complete the creative balance of Dear eden.

Your influences?
We have so many influences its hard to say.
Skip James, The Doors, Elvis, The Beatles, DMB, Pearl Jam, Deftones, STP, Ray Charles, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Pink Floyd, Snot, Jack Johnson, Failure, Refused, Weezer, RATM, so on and so on and so on. We're influenced by things we can feel. Music that can tell you a story b4 you read the lyrics ya know. If someone is into what they're doing then its influential.
