the whackouts
NEWS   The original Whackout's drummer Scott has not been seen since he went to Toronto for Christmas in 2005.
As near as we can estimate he was last sighted leaving a downtown T.O. restaurant in the company of several missionaries and "escorts" , and driving off in a 1960's limousine. No ransom was ever asked - Scott wherever you are ...drugs are not the answer.
We welcome replacement drummer Jarod with respect.

We try to present our tunes in a format that is "hookish ,crunchy ,contemporary ,radio friendly,
exuberant ,dynamic, danceable and fun. however that said , THE WHACKOUTS furthermore
endeavor to give the listener something to ponder that "could" be relevant to their own
existence. We write about the streets, because the streets are where we are from. We have lost
many good friends over the years and accordingly we endeavor to keep the music as an honest
reflection of the streets that we are from .Both as redemption ( for us )and our own modest way
to honor the memory of the fallen . " Part of the job" was written
when a close friend ended up in the slammer(If you are in
"the life" doing time is part of the job
deskription."Shapes"is about the repercussions of extramarital relationships.Various geometric
expressions in the lexicon of hyperbole. What can I say about â€쳌 THE SNOWMANâ€쳌 ? I suppose
every town has various shades of this life form
"PULP" is a slice of life from what could best be described as a Tarintino(esque) state of mind.
"Letters I’ll write" is a low rider main street Saturday night anthem.
Why this name?
we would have to consult our legal representative regarding that disclosure of those facts(alleged facts that is) vs. the statute of limitations and the Canada evidence act. .Oh ya we picked it out of a hat(ya that's it)No we were walking down the street minding our own business when it (the name) attached itself to us.Before that we had never seen it before. We have witnesses. Thats our story and we are stickin' with it!!
Do you play live?
yes. underground speakeasy's, after hours clubs ,and private parties for our friends and family.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
we are in favor of it!We will not interfere with it as long as it's business and our business don't conflict.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
What do you mean by contract ? OH one of those artist recording things. WE KNEW THAT!!
Band History:
This is another one of David Axis projects that barely made it out of the basement. The disappearance of original drummer Scott Lavey and David Axis having his thumb chopped off in a gambling accident were contributing factors in the demise of this band. Cool pop tunes were played live a couple times in 06 and 07 with various incarnations of the David Axis Gruppe! Although David Axis usually writes much heavier music "David Axis Tribal Garage "still has "Pulp" on the set list.
Your influences?
Murder inc. ,Bonnie and Clyde ,Brahm Stokker
baron Von Richthofen, john Dillinger,John Gotti and Pulp is dedicated to Sammy Gravano. Alister Crowley .
Favorite spot?
the city morgue!!
Equipment used:
lucky likes to emit super low frequency(10 cycles)pulses using a dish like device to aim and fire.
Miko uses a piano wire and Jarvok likes sharp sticks while David cuts heads.
