The Amphibians a sound experience that adapts to water and land from DC and NY a musical family of artists creating the next in sound and revolution.
Why this name?
The definition of the word Amphibians describes our sound. Balancing water and land from abstract that will be the water sound and the land which is relating to surface so there a balance of understanding like the word love and art how powerful those words are in meaning like the sound u hear in our songs and words...
Do you play live?
We do live shows around the DC and NY area. Our shows are our growth and experience to reach out out and connect and build to the public the community our way of giving somthing new from different songs our specialty is the live beats from eithe Trevor Goodchilde, Akuaslim78 and Aychell. With bass players from Leon to Zaquan and other musicans that connect to make the vibrations even stronger our live shows contains improvisational beats using ASR-X Pros and Drum machines...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is another world I think it has its good and bad but exposure worldwide and acess to that is unbeatable you want to expose worldwide this is one way of showing and spreading your sound..to gather more people from all over who knows when you go aorund the world and having people knowing your songs is a great thing. Bad thing for the music industry cause they dont see money oh well, We in it for the music thats the difference. To have people all over to appreciate the art and sound Respect in Hip-Hip is more rewarding then making lots of money. When its in your heart you know people can relate money will come later as appreciation of the art not the business...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We look for independent, we want that creative freedom, most of these Major lables wants you to make a certain quota or sound like someone else.. too much love for this music for anyone to harm the creativity, its a struggle but once u have love for what u do long gevity is my goal making a difference having everyone listen and relate to our music.

The Amphibians are advocates for asthma awareness dedicated to my brother Filli whom was an artist himself he passed away from asthma in 2000 so we do shows dedicated to him keeping his spirit alive with the Filli Foundation check out our site and plans for the community and future http://www.fillifoundation.com
