Hey everybody im Fluent aka Tha DoughBoy and im a beatboxer/emcee/singer from Christchurch, New Zealand. I am the 2004 & 2006 New Zealand South Island Champion and still hold the title till this day. Im one half of the Christchurch HipHop group Playbak Productionz and also associate and collaborate with Elite Ground Records and vairous other artists in Christchurch, New Zealand and around the world. Been in the game for approx. 7 years and still going strong. Have a mixtape coming very very soon called "All In One" featuring a whole bunch of Christchurch artists and a variation of artists from around New Zealand and the world. So have a nosey round my page, listen to some and sounds and get at me if ya feel the need....

Why this name?
I was having a little beatbox jam at my mates place and they randomly said "dude your sounds n sh*** are real fluent" and it just grew from there.
Do you play live?
Yeah I play live had quite a quite a few gigs, love being up on stage doing my thing, yeah just love it aye. My most special moment has to be winning the South Island Championships in 2004 and 2006 and also coming 3rd at the New Zealand Beatbox Championships.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
In my opinion the internet is going to be the new CD/Record store. It also makes it easier for artist to get their work recognized round the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, definitly you can only make so much money selling mixtapes in your city or country. Plus a a whole record company is a lot more effective than just one person.
Band History:
Well im the 2004 & 2006 New Zealand South Island Champion and I am also just about to release a mixtape called "All In One", but my ultimate goal is to help get New Zealand HipHop more recognized around the world and to be able to live off doing something I truely love doing

Killa Kela definetly beatbox legend and pioneer, Rahzel, Faith SFX, Desibel, Lianhart, Chamillionaire, Ludacris, KRS-One, Jagged Edge, Dr.Dre and heaps of other hip hop atrists.
Favorite spot?
