Greetings. I am a composer and writer. I enjoy my music most, but my writing comes to a close second. Musically, my strong point is melody. I find it very difficult to do anything if I don't have a melody to work with. My weakest point is development; I'm still getting the hang of developing my melodies further. Over time, I have also gotten far better with orchestration.
Band History:
I've taken a violin class in elementry school (don't remember anything), a piano class in 9th grade (teacher was bad, didn't learn anything), and I've taken a music appreciation class (I learned more in there than my music instruction classes).
So, for the most part, my talents of music (and art) are self-taught. Which is why I still have lots of room to grow.
Your influences?
Jeremy Soule, Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, Godflesh, Gustav Holst, Nobuo Uematsu, and :wumpscut:. Most of my orchestral work lately has been inspired by various games, as I try to learn the different styles and moods required to provide a full soundtrack.
Equipment used:
I use GarageBand for now, though I am learning my way through Logic Express.
Anything else...?
I'm currently writing a novel based on Viking Age Norway. The research is endless.
