This recording is an older project recorded on analog tape and recently digitally remastered.
The banjo is an honest to goodness Gibson Mastertone arch top made sometime in the early 1950's. It has been through the wars of being played everyday for over 50 years.

Why this name?
Most likely because it is on my social security card and drivers license.
Do you play live?
Yes, playing live is much better than trying to play once you are dead. I'm still doing shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Unfortunately, it will probably be the death of the industry unless the brakes are put on the ILLEGAL downloading.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. I have had my career. I like the way I am now, free to travel and play when and where I choose.
