This group of people is possibly the most talented group of people that you could meet without looking to people like dre, lil jon, or jazze pha. DJ Biggs does most of the instrumental work, but the freestyles, and written lyrics are deffinately just as good, if not better.
Why this name?
It came about because we love the west coast, so we came up with West Coast T.I.D. (till i die)
Do you play live?
Not at the moment, we are waiting for the chance to record before we do any sort of show
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it allows for the more talented people to get noticed, and for people that otherwise wouldn't even know that certain groups exsist, and allows for an underground collab area for smaller artists to get together, and for production companies to get some scouts into the underground.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Deffinately, i believe that is necessary for any smaller group to get on their feet because 95% of bands can't do it without a major label
Band History:
We have all known each other for years, we all love the same types of music, and have a real appreciation for all types of music. DJ Biggs plays 4 instruments (drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass guitar) so naturally he got into producing as a natural thing for him to do. Toa (Samoan for "Warrior") has always loved hip hop, but also has islander influence, and that is evident in his actions, and voice. Smoke is one of the more talented freestylers that has come upon the ears of people around the northwest area. We all have increadible dedication to music, it is the way that we will go for the rest of our lives if life allows us that priviledge.
Your influences?
Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Tupac, Spice 1, Nas, Jadakiss, some reggae, a little rock, but mostly hip hop.
Favorite spot?
The Studio (well, any studio :) )
Equipment used:
Right now, just computers, but we are trying to get money for some real equipment
