Living the love of Christ one day at a time

I started this site as a way to touch base with other writer/artists. Disclaimer: If you followed a link from Christian Songwriting Organization, Christian Songwriters Network, or Worship-Writer don't be alarmed at the ad content. It's out of of my control.

Why this name?

I chose my band name Tony Quays because at the time there were very few Chinese keyboard players who played guitar. Quays with a "q". Get it?

Do you play live?

As a worship leader I love to bring people into the presence of God wherever I'm at, in church sevices, home groups, and even while helping the kids get to sleep. As a performer I prefer large scale arenas, however I have been known to frequent coffee houses. So stay tuned.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Should I try to stop you from ripping my CDs and sending MP3s across the net to your friends? I don't know. While recording costs me time and money, I freely give what I can with the expectation that you will be touched with the love of Christ, to the point where you will share that love with someone else. When I give, it comes back. Pressed down, shaken together and running over. I have complete faith that God will provide!

Your influences?

My main musical influence is the music of heaven—to see what no eye has seen, and to hear what no ear has heard. On land my favourite artists are also great songwriters, and at the risk of forgetting to name any of them: Scott Krippayne, Derek Webb, Michael W. Smith, Carolyn Arends, Chris Tomlin, Chris Rice, Matt Redman, and a whole host of others.

Favorite spot?

The only place I want to be is in the centre of God's will.
