My names Matt and i've been playing guitar for around 7 years. My influences vary from post-renaissance Baroque music (Handel, Bach), to Romantic (Tchaikovsky) all the way to Scream-o like Alexisonfire and Trivium. I mostly write songs about 'unmentionables' (right jay) but the odd time out there's one or two that may be about something you're interested in
Why this name?
like tracy said, it's my name, i didn't have a choice in choosing it
Do you play live?
i play live at coffeehouses and i usually get a few good claps, yes i like playing live it's where i have the most fun. I remember my first real peformance at CoffeeHouse when i started playing one of my tunes (Sunday Night) and then i screwed up hardcore, i went off, came on and did another tune, and finished off with Sunday Night.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it lets you listen to music that you wouldn't regularly hear, and if you like it, you go and buy it at the store, but don't download too much
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
i dunno, depends on the circumstances
