I made a living playing music all over the US and Canada, for several years. During that time, I had the opportunity to play with The Shirelles, The Coasters, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Lou Christie, The Platters, Danny and the Juniors, The 5th Dimension, and Gary US Bonds.

While I was on the road, I also had the opportunity to hang out with Joey Molland (Badfinger), Foghat, Reba, Marvin Gaye, Tom T. Hall, Ray Sawyer (Dr. Hook), Three Dog Night, Jan and Dean, Joey Dee, Al Rappa (Bill Haley's Comets) and Rare Earth, along with hundreds of other nice people (and 7 jerks). I just can't remember all their names right now.

I have hundreds of pics, stories, and a full bio on my personal website, jimritchie.net. There you will find everything you could possibly want to know about me.

Everything you hear (all the vocals and instruments) was played by me, and recorded on a beat up Fostex X-15 four track cassette recorder in a small apartment. They came out pretty well, considering what I had to work with. They're Good Housekeeping approved and everything! Everyone who hears them agrees: Way better than a kick in the pants!
Your influences?
Pop Rock from the 60's to the 80's, blues, country
Favorite spot?
I think the coolest place I ever gigged was Quebec City, although The Opera House in Newcastle, New Brunswick, was an experience I shall never forget.

My favorite hometown gig is a dive called The Unicorn Tavern, where the music is loud, the people are unpretentious, the staff is surly, the owner is a character, and the beer is cold.
Equipment used:
My 78 Strat, my Les Paul and my old Fender Twin are the mainstays of my sound.

Anything else...?
All my tunes are rich in flavor, with fewer calories. How'd I do that? Ancient chinese secret.
