A taste of different types of guitar based music.
Why this name?
It's from a song written one rainy moonlit night.
Moonlit rain hits the window,
shadows flicker on the wall,
thoughts of you run through my head,
I wonder if you'll ever call.

Do you play live?
Yeah,I tried playing dead, but my dog just laughed.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Brings free, new music to us all, so we can decide what we like, as opposed to being told what to like.I also like the fact that it varies from semi pro to raw.Lots of great songs here would never make it to the main stream.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I ever came across a tone deaf A&R man.....yeah sure.
Band History:
The Moonlit Rain page started in sept 2002, is hopefully going to be a musical notepad of jams and songs, played solo and with various friends.
Your influences?
Jimi Hendrix,SRV & George Benson are my favourite guitarists.
Others include John Frusciante,T.Bone Walker,Dave Gilmour,Andy Summers,The Edge,& all the Steely Dan guitarists.
Jeff "The Skunk" Baxters solo on "My old school" is out of this world.
It depends on the decade really but just about any type of music gives me a buzz.
I love rhythmic guitar and multi lead guitar breaks.
My favourite album is "Rainbow Bridge" by Hendrix ,and "Pali Gap" my favourite track. It's a little dated but still amazing music, as is "Tin pan alley" or "Lenny" by SRV
The best desciption of the music would be slightly Jazzy,Rockish,Blues .

Favorite spot?
Too many to list...New England,Bali,Langkawi,or maybe eating dinner at any of the great hotels overlooking Batu Ferringhi beach,Penang (off the Malaysian Coast) or walking thru La Defense in Paris, watching the water-fountains dance to jazz music.

Anything else...?
Yeah, please leave a message on the message board.
It's good to hear from anyone who checks out the site.
The music may have a few rough edges, and the odd bum note but hey that's life :D
(and I hate re-doing stuff).
Hope you find something you like.
Cheers Chris.W
