Jellybucket consists of four members that first worked together in the summer of 2000, as a strictly improvisational band playing at parties for for friends. Inspired by several genres, the music began finding solid structure as the band played for increasing amounts of strangers as word got around of parties at venues including foundations of long abandoned buildings and secluded camping spots in the surrounding wooded areas.
Venues have changed, but the line-up has returned to the original four members, equipped with more instruments and a more refined sound than ever. Pieces can include trumpet, bass, drums, one or two guitars, and turntables making it very possible to merge reggae, funk, jazz, rock, blues and even hip-hop influences.
