My Life's Like [ ]
What's good, I'm Citizen. I am a Spoken Word artist from Sacramento, CA with influences in New York. Most of my work is socially conscious and revolutionary, even my love poems.
Why this name?
I don't consider myself to be a citizen of any particular country, but as one of every country. I would fight for the liberation of every nation, irregardless of location, religion, or size.
Do you play live?
I perform at open mics in Sacramento as well as New York when I am visitng. I'm a stage addict.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hurts the big artists, helps the less known ones. How it should be.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No major label will sign a spoken word artist but sure, why the hell not.
Band History:
Not much history, started out rapping a little bit but got tired of that, so you can still see traces of hip hop in my poetry.
Your influences?
Common, Jill Scott, Chilo/Wordz/Majestik from 21Poetz here on Soundclick, Saul Williams, & Sage Francis.
Favorite spot?
New York!!!!!
