Why this name?
I always thought the name was cool....it's spanish for 'peace". Being a California beach lover and christian, it somehow seemed appropriate.
Do you play live?
Only writing and recording for now, with some open mic nights and church gigs
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's really really great to be able to hear what the indies are doing now. So many great sounds out there! I personally like Soundclick and other sites like it because it gives indies a platform and a chance for exposure they wouldn't otherwise have. There's a whole world out there to be won over......
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Possibly, with the right contract
Your influences?
I love all types of music, but my major songwriting influences in Christian music are the late Keith Green & Rich Mullins, Jenn Knapp, Mercy Me and Third Day, and mainstream influences include Mary Chapin Carpenter and Sting. I love and respect the artistry of Eva Cassidy, and I absolutely love Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons. Some of the artists here on Soundclick are quickly becoming favorites of mine, too!
Favorite spot?
