Do you play live?
As a Christian, I have often played piano, organ or keyboards in churches. I also love to sing and have been in choirs from when I was a child. Most special moment was singing a song I wrote for my wife at our wedding.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has radically changed the music industry by giving people greater access to music. Musicians also have the opportunity of sharing their music with a global audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I wish!
Your influences?
My dad has been a big musical influence on my life, by encouraging me to develop my musical abilities. My first instrument was a toy xylophone which I loved, and used to pick out simple tunes. Dad then bought me a piano and sent me for piano lessons. Every morning he used to make sure I practised my music. I also was in the school choir and church choir, and developed a love for many beautiful hymns. Although Dad never played an instrument, he loved to listen to music, and took me to listen to numerous concerts. He also had lots of records which I also liked to listen to.
Favorite spot?
The Drakensburg in South Africa. The picture on this page was taken at Injasuti last year where we had a family reunion.
