play lo-fi play hi-fi  Burn The Deck
This is a small solo project I've taken on myself for the past year, experimenting with different sounds using computers and midi keyboards, producing ambient, orchestral and atmospheric pieces.
Hopefully with alot of work and effort I'll be able to put together some pieces for certain medias, films or games.
Why this name?
It was taken from an old character I used to play in a series of roleplaying games, only a few people will recognise the name and the history behind it.
Do you play live?
Not as yet
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think just as with all medias, if it's liked you should buy it and support those that need it, but it's a subject that I'm always changing my opinion on, considering the circumstances.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My goals for this project are to produce music for films and games, if this got me in the position, then yes, but it's a different situation currently.
Band History:
As a true lover of music, I've always been intrigued with experimenting in my own form of music, expressing my feelings or developing an atmosphere using particular sounds. It was around 8 years ago when I first started experimenting, using just a basic Amiga 1200 computer and Octamed, admitedly I was limited but in time my musical talents became inspired and trained.
Your influences?
Ambience music, especially those from Cold Meat Industries: Raison d'etre, Desiderii Marginis are my major inspirations currently.
A great deal of influence also comes from the ambient sounds in games, especially roleplaying types.
Ranging from cold, empty desolate atmospheres to frenzied blood fury on a battlefield.
Favorite spot?
Waterfalls.
Equipment used:
Edirol midi keyboard, laptop
